^ The crown is next; impressed feather textures at front.

^ Colored the impressed lines for contrast.

^ Next: the frill. I used the Frilled Coquette hummingbird as inspiration.

^ 'Cheek' feathers finished.

^ Throat (called a gorget (GORE-jet) on males) finished.

^ Flanking throat feathers done.
