Blogger profiles are too gd truncated for my tastes. I get claustrophobic if I can't write a novella for my About section. Not to mention my ravenous desire to populate my pages with emojis. I spent too long trying to be "professional" when I miss being fun!

I've been sharing my art online since 2000. I clearly remember thinking Y2K was real when our PC monitor fried on NYE 1999. My dial-up days were spent searching for and saving every image of fantasy animals I could find, especially dragons, gryphons, and unicorns or pegasi. Pegasuses? Screw it, just call them alicorns. 💫🦄🪽

I stuffed these crunchy .jpgs and .gifs onto numerous zip disks, along with pictures of my favorite IRL animals: hummingbirds, wolves, tigers, dolphins, etc. When I began trawling art sites—Yerf, Elfwood, (early) dA—I discovered dozens of amazing new sources of inspiration. I have long been an archivist, collecting everything that fires my imagination and palimpsests of my own art and writing.

I put my college-era dot-com out to pasture a couple years ago. Maintaining it made no sense when I consistently self-isolated from social media. I deleted my socials in 2022 as a mental health birthday gift to myself. The break was sorely needed, yet I felt myself slipping further away from my online community.

Should I make yet another account on another site somewhere? ...hell no, revamp your Blogger! Free Internet real estate!! >:D

Suffice it all to say: I am having fun with refreshing this ol' blog, and I want to transform it into the website I've always wanted.
